This includes which pages you enter, which posts you view, and other events you trigger. - Platform Monitoring and Analytics (PostHog): We use the PostHog platform to perform the essential monitoring and data processing activities required to operate and maintain the security and quality of the service, as further detailed in Section 4.5 (Essential Data Processing as a Condition of Use). Crucially, our collection of usage data for these purposes does not rely on cookies. Instead, we collect and transmit data on your client-side actions (such as page entries, clicks, and user interactions) directly to the PostHog server via secure events. This process is deemed necessary to fulfill our service obligations to you and ensure compliance with our Terms of Service.
- We do not use any advertising or third-party tracking tools.
8. International Data Transfers
We may transfer your data to servers located outside of your country or region. This occurs primarily when using our third-party data processors (like our cloud hosting provider).
For transfers of personal data from the European Union (EU) or other territories with similar data protection requirements (e.g., Israel) to a third country we take the following measures:
- Legal Basis: We utilize the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, which are provided by our data processor, Supabase.
- Schrems II Compliance and Supplementary Measures: To meet the substantive requirements of the Schrems II ruling and the requirements of the Transfer Impact Assessment (TIA), we rely on the comprehensive technical and organizational supplementary measures implemented by Supabase. These measures include:
- Strong Encryption: Ensuring all data is protected by robust, industry-standard encryption both when it is stored (at rest) and when it is being sent (in transit).
- Due Diligence: We have assessed that these technical safeguards, combined with the SCCs, provide an adequate level of protection for your personal data, effectively safeguarding it against unauthorized governmental access in the recipient country.
